Quebec City Visitor Information and Guide
The Quebec City Ramparts were built in the 1700s to defend the city from invasion. In the 1870s, they were transformed into a popular attraction.
Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk along the top of the ramparts for a distance of 5 km.
St. Louis Gate, Quebec City Ramparts
There are four gates into the walled city. They are:
- Saint-Jean Gate
- Kent Gate
- Saint-Louis Gate
- Prescott Gate
